Little League World Series Pin Trading at The Genetti Hotel and Suites

Your Little League World Series Pin Trading Headquarters

At the Little League World Series, pin trading comes in second only to the actual ballgames! When there are no games to watch, fans and players head to the pin trading areas, like the DPH Pin Room at The Genetti Hotel to trade pins they’ve collected during the season.

What Is Little League Pin Trading?

Pin trading has been an important part of the Little League World Series experience for many years. Aspiring collectors can buy their first few pins to start a collection that they then grow by exchanging pins, not money, with other collectors.

The custom trading pins themselves can have almost any type of design imaginable, like the commemorative Genetti Hotel pins. Common designs include a baseball or baseball field, the name of the team, the league or age division the team plays in, or the names/numbers of the players, but the pins are not limited to only those designs. Throughout the season, teams design their own custom trading pins. Teams usually order pins for the players to keep and then plenty extra to trade at games or trading events. People might want to collect a pin because it belonged to a star player or championship team, or simply because the pin looks cool. That’s all part of the fun of pin trading.

Where do people trade Little League pins?

The most common place for trading Little League pins is held every year in August in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. There is a large trading tent which is normally filled with people during the time the baseball games are being held. When the baseball games are over most people go to the trading DPH Custom Pin room at The Genetti Hotel (Garden and Terrace Rooms). Here you will find everyone from the occasional pin trader to the hard core trader.

My husband and I have just spent the weekend at the Genetti Hotel. I can't recommend this Hotel highly enough. Everything was wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, very clean and very comfortable. We had one of the Whirlpool Suites and it was perfect. The staff are so friendly and very helpful and really strive to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. What can I say about the Breakfast Buffet... Just outstanding!! My husband and I have never seen such a variety and quality of breakfast foods as the Genetti has. They have everything you could possibly want and more. We had the most wonderful weekend away here and we will definitely be back again. Truly marvelous and so fabulous to see that there are still Hotels who value service and comfort to such a high standard. Thank you so much for giving my husband and I such a wonderful weekend's stay.

Step back in time at this hotel. Rooms were clean and big and completely different to any other hotel we stayed in during our trip to the States, we could feel the history of the hotel. Never having been to the US before we found the breakfast amazing - tried things we'd never tasted before and all were good. Meals in the restaurant were huge as I needed a doggy bag for my starters. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay there again.

If you are old enough to remember grand old downtown hotels, you'll enjoy a stay at what was once The Lycoming Hotel where businessmen stayed, lunched, attended meetings, and took their wives to dinner for their birthday. The rates are surprisingly reasonable and the atmosphere is rich. The staff is very gracious and upgrades seem easy to obtain. The buffet breakfast is extensive. Parking is free on an adjoining parking lot. The only drawback is the long walk to check-in. Help with luggage is available upon request.

A good start to my hotel stay was at check in. Cheryl at the front desk was very upbeat, friendly, and helpful. Put me in a nice comfortable room non-smoking quiet. Coffee(Maxwell House) maker in room. The complimentary HOT breakfast buffet was very good. TVs in breakfast area a nice plus. Two elevators for quicker service. Checkout was a breeze, Wonderful hotel experience.

  • Great historyGreat history

Stayed here for the Pennsylvania hog rally. Had a wonderful time. Beautiful hotel, great service. Nice staff. No complaints! Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Nice pool! Met the manager who was nice. Great area to ride on a motorcycle. Highly recommend to anyone.

  • Clean, friendly, helpfulClean, friendly, helpful

We stayed here when passing through town. The hotel was built in 1922 and it has an historical feel. Not a modern hotel, but very quaint and clean. The staff were great! Especially Cheryl at the front desk. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. The outdoor pool was a nice size, clean, and plenty of seating and Clean towels. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of hot and cold choices. Highly recommend.

  • Absolutely fabulousAbsolutely fabulous

Old fashioned charm. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. Cheryl at the front desk went out of her way to make sure we were happy. The room was huge, clean, comfortable and luxurious. Free breakfast spread was amazing. The pool was great, location was perfect, free wifi, and with all that said, price was cheaper than any other hotel downtown. Will be back.

We had the pleasure of staying here and would like to give a shout out to Alicia, Ron and Andrea for the great service checking in and help about the area. Lots of fun history within walking distance.

  • Historic, comfortable hotelHistoric, comfortable hotel

I stayed overnight in Williamsport on a motorcycle tour. The renovated Genetti was perfect. I was upgraded to a suite, very comfortable, clean and peaceful. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Gated parking lot made me feel safer leaving the bike overnight. Full hot breakfast was excellent. Across the street is a fun little pub with good food, beer and conversation. Along same street is a shopping district that I enjoyed walking through. The entire experience made me want to come back.

  • Great stay in my old home townGreat stay in my old home town

I grew up in Williamsport and returned to visit and have dinner with old friends for the first time in 40 years. Since the Lycoming Hotel (now the Genetti Hotel) had been THE place to stay I went on line to book a room but their site showed nothing available. Called the property directly and spoke with reservations manager Cheryl who was able to find me a room at a reasonable price.

My room was the Bob Hope suite with a large corner living room (sofa, chairs, desk, wet bar with refrigerator and microwave) and a connecting, comfortable bedroom and bath. Large flat screen TVs in both. The accommodations were clean and quiet and I especially enjoyed the historical ambiance of the hotel with old photos and antiques within the room and common areas of the property.

A night's stay includes a free breakfast which goes far beyond the usual make-your-own-waffles and cereal offered by most hotel chains. A buffet of fresh cut fruit, juices, coffee, eggs, sausage, bacon, corn beef hash, potatoes, bagels and toast was excellent.

Downtown location is near many bars and restaurants and a gated parking lot is adjacent to the hotel with no charge to guests. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. This is a great change of pace from the average chain hotel and I will definitely stay here my next visit.

  • Lovely piece of historyLovely piece of history

I was greeted at the front desk with a warm friendly face and all my wishes for rooms fulfilled. We had two rooms, One was an accessible room with twin queen beds the other room just a single queen. Both rooms were clean and a pleasure to be in. Yes this is not a new ultra modern hotel we came here because it was not only downtown but for the ambience of a lovely old hotel. The morning hot breakfast was outstanding one of the best I've ever had at a hotel if not the best. The hotel is convenient downtown too many shops restaurants and adult beverages.

  • Great choice if you like historic hotelsGreat choice if you like historic hotels

The Genetti is the place to stay if your are going to a show at the Community Arts center. They have a cool bar and a nice buffet before a lot of the shows.

The hotel itself has ton's of character that you would expect in an older historic hotel. The rooms are fairly modern, but you wouldn't want too modern or it would take away from the atmosphere.

I've always had a comfortable bed and a clean room when we've been there and the staff are very good about helping you with dinner reservations or activities.

  • Lovely Old Characterful PlaceLovely Old Characterful Place

Well, what can I say, such a special hotel. It's owned by one family and you can tell. Full of character inside, friendly staff and we got an upgrade to a suite!
Room was lovely, masses of space, everything had been considered.

Parking free, at rear of hotel. The walls in reception are covered in photographs from the history of the hotel, makes it so much more interesting to stay, much better than the normal chain, faceless hotels.

Breakfast was a huge array of good choices, all included in the very reasonable price.
Highly recommend this place. I did ask about the ghost....it's not 11th floor (there is no 11th floor) it's a room on the 8th floor that's haunted. If you want to be scared ask for it??

  • This place was incredible! This place was incredible!

My husband and I stayed during the orientation at Lycoming College. The courtesy and knowledge of the staff for local events was outstanding. We highly recommend this place and we look forward to our next stay.

  • Zachary (at the front desk) is the Man!Zachary (at the front desk) is the Man!

My boyfriend and I stayed the night this past weekend for his graduation and could not have been any happier with our choice of hotel. We arrived late Friday night and had the pleasure of being greeted by Zachary, the front desk attendant, who accomadated our every need.

After our two and a half hour drive to Williamsport, arriving after two in the morning for the graduation the next day, it was such a breath of fresh air to be helped by an employee like Zachary. It is so nice to see someone who enjoys their job and have such a great attitude (esp. accomadating people at 2:30 in the morning).

I just really felt that I had to write this comment to you guys to let you know how great of service we had and that we thoroughly enjoyed our night at the Genetti. Since we were enjoying ourselves so much in our gorgeous room, we woke up very late for the graduation ceremony. There was an incedent in the morning where my boyfriend and I woke up at 9:30am and my boyfriend was supposed to be there at 9. So we had not even 30 minutes to get ready and run down there. We were running around in a frenzy trying to get ready as quick as possible since we were extremely close to missing the biggest part of graduation day, the walk, and we went to use the iron and it was broken.

My boyfriend quickly called down and explained our situation and we were astonished by how fast they ran up a brand new iron to our room. Literally one minute it took, and that really saved the day. Next trip to Williamsport the Genetti is where we will be staying, just wanted to say thanks again (and a special thanks to Zachary!)

Room Tip: The whirlpool room was awesome.

  • TRY IT, YOU’LL LOVE IT!TRY IT, YOU’LL LOVE IT!

I have the honor and the privilege to stay at the Genetti 5 times a year. Some people think that since the hotel is older it is not modernized so they want something plush. Well let me tell you that if there were Genetti Hotels all across the world, I would stay at them every time. First above all, the history incorporated in this hotel is emotionally warming. It is a wonderful walk down memory lane.

I had reserved a room with a queen sized bed, but they upgraded me to a room with a king sized bed and reduced the price. I had a lovely room on the 8th floor with a large ceiling fan. I loved that the inner doors to the closet and bathroom still sported older type hardware. Modern touches included a microwave and refrigerator in the room, large television and very comfortable bed with plenty of pillows.

I also loved that there was still a glass-fronted mail drop chute inbetween the elevators.

Breakfast was complementary and included eggs, bacon, French toast, sausage, even grits (in Pennsylvania!), applesauce, hardboiled eggs, etc. and delicious coffee. The staff was great – at the front desk and in the dining area.

  • A comfortable hotel with a top-notch staff. . .A comfortable hotel with a top-notch staff. . .

An old-fashioned--in the best sense of that term--downtown hotel: high ceilings and carved woodwork in the meeting rooms, for example. However, the pool, the restaurant, and above all the staff, are up to the minute.

I had forgotten to bring a printout of my speech, and discovered that my flashdrive was corrupted. Though the hotel's 'public' computers had no capability to accept my 'second backup' SD card, staffer Matthew took the card, did some magic behind the scenes, and produced a printout--no cost. Matthew also saw to it that I received a room discount based on my former military service.
Other staffers were outstandingly friendly and helpful, not one of them ever exhibiting that coldly courteous, almost robotic demeanor that I find so off-putting at some big-city hotels. Breakfasts are included in the room charge; unlike some places offering a 'Continental' breakfast, this one is warm, with a large variety of choices. Dining room staff were every bit as helpful, friendly, and eager to care for the guest's needs and wants as the front desk staff. Management of this hotel clearly works hard to provide guests a positive experience, and staff attitudes reflect that.

Room Tip: My room was 9th floor, south-facing, with a breath-taking panoramic view of Bald Eagle Mountain acro...

  • Fantastic!Fantastic!

The hotel itself is rich with history and has a charm not seen in most hotels. It has a prime location with plenty of options for leisure and functionality.

he decor screams of it's history with antiques and collectibles from the hotel in glass cases. The service is excellent. The staff friendly and informative. The restaurant has excellent food and service. The room was clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable. I was ready to move in for good.

Room Tip: Poolside rooms are quiet and have a more apartment like feel, and they get the afternoon sun.

  • Great 3 day stay!Great 3 day stay!

My Son and I stayed at this hotel at the end of June for the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War annual encampment (convention). We had a really nice stay and would recommend this place to just about anyone.

We stayed in room 107 which is by the pool. (The pool was clean and fun) Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Air conditioning worked great on a hot weekend. The only thing I noticed was that the bathroom was in need of an update. Mind you, everything worked correctly, but the tub, sink and fixtures could use a freshening up.

The nice thing about this hotel is that everything is in a central location. Our meeting / banquet rooms, elevators, restaurant and front desk are all close to each other. The meeting rooms I was in for our encampment were nicely adorned, clean and functional. The sound system worked in each room and the staff did a nice job setting things up. We did experience one problem in one of the rooms though. They couldn't seem to get the A/C to work real well and so it was a bit hot in there. On the whole, the meeting rooms were very good!

I noticed that all of the staff from the hotel were friendly and spoke to me each time I passed with a "hello" or a "have a nice day". This seemed genuine and I liked it. These folks were doing a good job and felt good about spending my money there. The people at the front desk were very helpful (especially John) and patient as I had several questions about local attractions and stores etc.

Be sure to take advantage of the free breakfast! You will have lots to choose from, it is delicious and it is included with your room cost.

One last thing, if you are a history buff, this is a place of history. Be sure to note carefully the photos and decorations throughout the lobby level. These have been a lot of well known people who visited / stayed at this hotel over the years. If you are in Williamsport, stop and get a room at the Genetti.

  • Perfect Accommodations & Staff!Perfect Accommodations & Staff!

It would be impossible to have had a better stay at the Genetti Hotel. We were in town overnight for a funeral, with arrangements made at the last minute.

The staff at the hotel, from the reservations assistant on the phone to the registration desk people, to the staff in the hotel, were accommodating and friendly. The room was amazingly beautiful, clean, comfortable, and quiet. It's an historic hotel with modern amenities. The breakfast buffet was delicious and full of comfort foods. I truly appreciate the care this hotel and staff provided during our stay.

Room Tip: I think any room in this hotel would be comfortable.

  • Quaint Old Place!Quaint Old Place!

Stayed here overnight for a banquet and this is quite a nostalgic place. Lots of history in every corner as it is old but kept up well.

Great food and bar setup too. Overall the room was fine. Other than the bathroom being dated and small everything was clean with beds and furniture very comfortable. It's a friendly, happy place to be as we enjoyed our stay and will return.

Room Tip: We were on the 10th floor and had a great view of the southwest of the city.

  • Above & Beyond. . .Above & Beyond. . .

From the first phone call to the final checkout, the service was impeccable. These are not just employees, they are like family. Honestly! Every person we encountered was cheerful, helpful and just darned NICE.

This is not a cookie-cutter chain hotel. It is gorgeous and charming and just plain quirky. Our room was nice and large, with a mini fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. There were not quite enough outlets in the room, but it was no big deal. The bed was comfy and well made with an inspirational card on the pillow, wishing us peace and happiness (see the picture). That was genuinely heartwarming, and I am not a sappy person! Overall the room was clean. The bathroom was dated. But it was extremely clean and did the best with the space that it could. Have to remember this hotel is from the 1920's. Big luxurious bathrooms didn't really exist. The hotel has done the best they can with this limitation!

Because of the weather, we ate in the restaurant. It was new years eve and they were having a buffet. It was "eh". For some odd reason, everything was super peppery. I like pepper, but it was like everything had 3 times more than it needed. Odd. My husband ordered off the regular menu and it was above average. The breakfast, however, was awesome. If I lived in that town, I would make it a destination. They have this beautiful breakfast buffet every morning, with really exceptional quality breakfast offerings.

Being NYE, it was busy and was really rocking. We could hear the party from the 5th floor, but it was faint. On a normal night I can't imagine one would hear a peep. The lobby was gorgeously decorated, and there is memorabilia and interesting stuff to see in every nook, crannie and hallway.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. We will be back!

  • Extremely friendly and helpful staff!Extremely friendly and helpful staff!

The Genetti is a charming historical place to stay with charm and modern amenities. Cannot say enough about the staff, they were extremely friendly and helpful! Pet friendly.. The breakfast was excellent with a nice variety of hot dishes. Love the history of the hotel.

  • All work and some play. . .All work and some play. . .

I had the great privaledge of staying at the Genetti for two weeks during may. I was brought to the Genetti due to thier in house meeting rooms. There was a conference held there on breast feeding, and being a R.N. my company made it mandatory to attend.

Although my work kept me busy most of my stay, i was completely blown away by the genuine hospitality and historic atmosphere that the hotel had to offer. Also, although i had arrived late to the hotel due to a flight delay, a gentleman named Matthew who was working the front desk was very informative. He had even noticed that i was pretty jet lagged and he upgraded me from a traditional room to a suite without me even having to inquire! I look forward to the next time my work brings me to Williamsport hoping for the chance to spend some more time at this beautiful hotel!

  • Old World Elegance!Old World Elegance!

Traveling with my group of Swedish tourists. All I can say is that the hotel went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. I loved the old architecture and design. A sense of the past without being heavy.

We were greeted with red and white wine. Baggage was handled quickly and check-in was easy. The management was ready to give out advice on restaurants and directions. All of the staff greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome.

My room was upgraded to a suite with a large sitting room and huge bedroom room a wonderful comfortable beds filled with lots of pillows. Bathroom was lovely with extra towels and a huge bathroom mirror. Felt like I was in movie set! Just wonderful, sorry I could not stay and another day. But I highly recommend the hotel for NOT being your typical boring tourist place. Thanks The breakfast was fit for a king or Queen with almost too many selections to choose from eggs to bacon pancakes, waffles, cereals..

  • Had a Grand, Old, Time! Genetti Hotel and Conference Center!Had a Grand, Old, Time! Genetti Hotel and Conference Center!

I attended a conference in Williamsport recently in this hotel, and stayed 2 nights. It immediately reminded me of the Hotel Bethlehem, similar construction, interior features, and era.

Apparently built in 1922. Everything was great. Our conference dinner was excellent, steak and shrimp, and the service was very attentive and efficient.

The room was as expected, unique, but the furnishings were new, the king sized bed, flat screen, desk work area and heating and cooling. I slept very well.

While the bar was not open Sunday on arrival, I did stop there the next night and it was also very good, with a good selection of drinks and wonderful bartender.

All in all, this was a nice reminder of "grand olde tymes" and the classy era of days gone by.

Cheers to the Genetti Hotel and Genetti Family for keeping the tradition alive...

  • Event & Overnight Stay. . .Event & Overnight Stay. . .

Our company held a training in the Terrace room of this hotel. What makes Genetti a great place is the staff -- very, very helpful, friendly, and willing to please with any detail we asked.

Our overnight room was beautiful, quiet, and clean. The breakfast was exceptional! If the hotel wants to host more conferences, it would do best to get blinds that cover the windows, a blind to cover the mirrors at the front, and better audiovisual equipment, speakers, and chords. We will be back however, mainly because we bring our own equipment and because of the exceptional service we received! Casey and Eric were terrific, as well as the banquet set-up person (Sharon?) Eddie at the front desk was very pleasant too!

  • Event & Stay!Event & Stay!

The Genetti is an old beautiful and well kept hotel. We love the charm and the modern amenities, they are a great mix at the hotel.

We host a Pin Trading Room every year at the Genetti Hotel. The staff is always excellent and very helpful. It is like going to see old friends every year not a hotel stay!

I was there in April for a meeting and the staff was as helpful and accommodating as when we are there for the LLWS.

This historic hotel is my preferred place to stay in Williamsport. Rates are reasonable and include one of the best buffet breakfasts that I have had in my years of travel. They have a very good restaurant and pub and what I also like is the ability to walk outside and experience other dining alternatives in this neat little town. I see other reviews and many of them say how great the staff is and it is true. They are exceptional and well-trained, friendly and knowledgeable.
