26th ANNUAL BILLTOWN BLUES FESTIVAL
LYCOMING COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
HUGHESVILLE PA 17737
Since the first event on June 24, 1990, The Billtown Blues Festival has been an institution in the Williamsport area. Since 1994 the festival has taken place at the Lycoming County Fairgrounds in Hughesville. Every year the festival continues to grow while maintaining its small-town appeal.
On this date in 1863 Confederate General Robert E. Lee led his forces in an attack against the north. Battle lines formed near Gettysburg, PA in what turned out to be one of the Civil War's most crucial battles. Lee's forces were denied in \Pickett's Charge on the center of the Union line. With Lee's forces retreating back to Virginia this was one of the Civil War's most deadly battles with the loss of over 50,000 casualties.
Over these four days, soldier and civilian re-enactors will re-create the 1860s, through battles, encampments and demonstrations. Visitors can get an up-close look at cavalry, artillery and the lives that soldiers led during the Civil War.
Be part of the action this summer. We have great LIVE entertainment events lined up from bands, to tractor and horse pulls, and figure eight racing. Plus our world famous demolition derby events.
Looking just to visit the fair without digging into your wallet? No problem! The Lycoming County Fair has Two stages throughout the fairgrounds with FREE entertainment. Shows range from clowns and comedy to young and old musical talents and more!
We have many competitive exhibits going on daily. Cows, Horses, Sheep and Goats are all on display. Plus pony and antique tractor pulling contests. There will be plenty to watch for this summer.
