The Community Arts Center is referred to as the "Jewel of Downtown Williamsport". Carefully restored to its 1928 magnificence this 2,000-seat theatre has hosted such notable acts as Bill Cosby, David Copperfield, Anne Murray, Barry Manilow and Willie Nelson. On any given night at the Arts Center you will find a Broadway musical, concert, musical review, or film. The theatre is also home to local artists such as the Williamsport symphony orchestra and civic chorus.

In 1976, the Community Theatre League was formed to satisfy the need for a community based theatre program in Lycoming County. Currently, CTL is still going strong, producing some of the most exciting theatre in our area. Located in the Trade and Transit Centre, the theatre league is made up almost entirely of volunteers and produces over twenty events per season. The theatre hosts full length plays and musicals, one-act plays, workshops, summer camps, SPROUTS theatre for children, and many special concert events. Watch as members of our local community turn into dramatists, comedians, dancers and singers before your eyes.

For over 35 years the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra has brought classical music to Lycoming County. The Symphony hosts several guest musicians as well as the Youth Orchestra program made up of 70 children from around Central Pennsylvania.
